The Constance Fournier Workshop
Faithful to the traditional craft tradition, the Constance Fournier workshop takes particular care of the smallest details of your wedding dress.
The art of drawing, cutting and sewing is mastered
Drawing
With a keen eye and experience, Constance Fournier’s stylists know how to capture the style and desires of each of their clients. Above all, they are able to guide them towards the shapes that will enhance them the most.
Sensitive to the symbolic significance of the wedding dress, the House is committed to designing only unique models.
Cut out
True technicians, the model makers bring the designers’ project to life. Based on the customer’s measurements, they build a flat pattern on paper that will make it possible to create a canvas, the first draft in three dimensions. Traditionally, this prototype will be developed during a fitting. It will still need to be corrected and patronized before the fabric can be cut.
Sew up
Trained in artisanal methods, seamstresses skillfully handle a profusion of materials. First the lining and fabric are sewn together with a frame yarn, which is then removed. A fitting allows to validate the good fall of the dress. Every effort is made to ensure that it is perfect. Sometimes, collaboration with embroidery or pleating workshops completes the work.
After more than 80 hours of hard work, the bride will finally discover the dress she has so dreamed of!
Under the impetus of Constance Fournier, the Maison de couture was created in 2006. In 2008, the House was selected by the École Polytechnique to create the 19 "X Ball" dresses that will be worn at the Opéra Garnier during the prestigious quadrille performance.
In 2010, we are introducing a unique and innovative concept: customers who wish to do so can now try on the fabric of their dress before any engagement. Convinced that the energy we put into pampering our customers is our great strength, we make a radical new decision: we leave our Parisian showroom and offer our customers the opportunity to meet them at home.
In 2013, we represent the craft industry in the European Parliament.
In 2014, 3 new stylists and communication managers will join the team. Major work has begun: the workshop and showroom are changing their look!
In 2016, We are selected to represent the craft industry at the World Organization for Intellectual Protection at the United Nations in Geneva.
In 2018, during the XVIIth summit of the French-speaking world in Yerevan, Constance Fournier responded to the invitation of SEM, the French ambassador to Armenia, to lead a masterclass with a panel of promising young stylists.
In our couture house, the atmosphere is hushed and each customer receives a warm and personalized welcome and follow-up.
Passion for excellence and French-style art craftsmanship are the virtues of Constance Fournier.
